Born in the Lake District, I attended Carlisle College of Art and Design between 1984 and 1988 gaining qualifications in both art and photography and feel my love of art comes through into my photography. I established my photography business in 1999 and I am pleased to say that I have been kept very busy since.
I spent my early career photographing weddings, portraits and commercial projects and as time went by I decided to specialise in portraits as I love it so much. I realise that most people are not used to having a camera pointed at them, so with that in mind, I like to make people feel at ease when they come to my studio. It is a relaxed environment where you can feel at home.
When I am not in my studio, I like nothing better than spending time with my lovely family. I also enjoy walking, reading, travelling and sightseeing.
